I have yet to need to cast it for zero mana, but I do love having that option so you can safely tap out to play something cool but still have some protection from some crazy artifact or enchantment combo

Cards like Boneyard Scourge relied too much on synergies that weren't supported enough in cube and timings that were nearly impossible to match perfectly with open mana, even if the front side was reasonable on its face

While this deck does have some explosive combos, they arent meant to be incredibly consistent or close the game quickly
