Rare Antique Aubusson Fine Tapestry Border: C18th France Persian Embroidery silver gilt and fuchsia pinkStunning colors in this rare 18th century tapestry border. French in origin, probably Aubusson. Depicting a row of leaves or flames down the middle with a tulip shaped repeating pattern along one side. Finely handwoven in wool and silk threads over a metal thread base. Part of the metal thread weaving you can see at one side and in some of the leaf designs where the top threads have slightly worn leaving the metal threads exposed. Worked in rich
