Divination isnt particularly playable, but attach some other effects, and this can become more exciting
Mirri, Weatherlight Duelist can make it so only one creature can block, Sovereign Okinec Ahau will put +1/+1 counters on creatures that have stat boosts without counters, and Jetmir, Nexus of Revels will give attack boost and keyword abilities depending on how many creatures you control
Fastbond does 1 damage to you for every land beyond the first that you play in a single turn. This was a great card for dumping all the Mana in your hand for the sake of casting your Shivan Dragon, because lets face it, Green/Red Decks with Green Mana producers and big Red creatures was a force to be reckoned with back then, if done properly

If a spell's kicker cost was paid, the spell is "kicked." The kicker ability doesn't let you pay a kicker cost more than once
