Arctostaphylos x 'Sunset', Manzanita variegated It's long-lasting in the gardenDiscovered by Roman Ganklin and W. Richard Hildreth; 'Sunset' develops red purple brown shaggy bark as it matures and the rounded green leaves that begin life as coppery orange buds. This naturally occuring hybrid, discovered near Prunedale in Monterey County, involved A. pajaroensis and A. hookeri and has pinkish white urn shaped flowers that are unexpectedly lovely in combination with the new leaves. One of our favorites! Mature size: 6 ft T x 6 ft
