There are 4 dies. 1 die is for cutting the petals. The 6 petals come in slightly different sizes with a tiny hole at one end so that the petals can be held together with a brad or wire. You can cut more petals to give a fuller flower look. Using a scoring tool or flower tool curl each petal to give it the distinctive dahlia
